Neurosurgery

We understand the perceptual fear, anxiety and other emotional problems experienced by our patients when confronted with the need for neurosurgery operations and treatments.

We believe neurosurgery operations (brain tumour, hernia, spine surgeries etc) are the most delicate and sophisticated types of surgeries. Therefore we assist you to find the most suitable hospital, doctor and paediatrician (for your child’s need) using the latest technological devices and methods to reach high success rates for your case.

We are here provide FREE online support for all your questions prior to your medical travel for your neurosurgical and its related orthopaedic problems.

You will have answers for all your questions prior to your travel. We share your medical information and medical reports with the relevant hospitals and doctors to provide you with an estimated cost and a primary treatment plan.

We will provide all necessary concierge services for you, together with our professional solution partners. We make sure that all your transportation (from/to airport, hotel, hospital), accommodation needs are met.

Early and accurate disease diagnoses is the key of successful treatment and healing process. Therefore our partner hospitals and clinics offer wide range of the technological devices and methods for diagnoses.

MRI Scanning: Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a radiology technique that uses radio waves, magnetism and a computer to provide clear body structure images that can detect smallest change in the body.

CT / CAT Scanning: Computerized Tomography scanning give detailed anatomical information about organs and tissues of human body.

PET/CT Scanning: PET (Positron Emission Tomography) displays metabolic function of the human body tissues and organs and combined with CT (Computerized Tomography) that give more detailed anatomical information. PET/CT scanning one of the most accurate and effective imaging device.

X-rays: They are electromagnetic radiation waves that create images inside the human body in different shades of black and white.

MEG Neuroimaging: It is neurophysiological technique that non-invasive method which measure the magnetic fields generated by neuronal activities of the brain.

Long-term video-EEG monitoring: It is periodic video recording especially for epilepsy program to monitor patient who continues to have frequent seizures

The most common neurosurgical procedures our partner hospitals and clinics offer to our international patients are listed below.

Microsurgery Lumbar: a gap in the spinal disc that make the gel inside the spinal leaks to the spinal canal and make painful pressure on the spine. The operation fix the gap and push the gel back inside to relief the pressure.

Micro – Invasive Surgeries: are type of surgeries with an effective results with less recovery time and less post operation pain.

Spinal Cord Trauma Surgeries: are emergency type of surgeries request immediate intervention and depend mostly on the surgeon’s decisions.

Brain Surgeries: are surgeries dealing with the brain and all of its nervous system parts.

Epilepsy: is a neurological dysfunction caused by internal disorder of electrical signals in the brain cells. Epileptic seizures are like episodes and seizures can differ from brief to long periods of strong shaking.

Functional and stereotactic neurosurgery: is a treatment for intolerable pain, spasticity and movement disorder.

Parkinson: is an advanced disorder of the nervous system, and it gradually increases that result to movement disorder.

Carpal Tunnel: is the compression of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel. It appears as a pain in the wrist and then numbness in the fingers and weakness in the hand muscles in severe cases.

Spinal Cord Tumor: is the clumps of abnormal cells that can grow inside the spinal cord itself, between the two sides of the protective cover or above the casing overlying the line of the spinal cord. It has two types: primary, and secondary.

Cervical Spine Surgeries: are the surgeries of spinal column (neck region surgery) to add stability to spine.

Head Tumor: is clumps of abnormal cells that can be grow in the lymphatic tissue, or blood vessels, in the cranial nerves or brain casings (meningitis), or skull, or the pituitary gland, or in the pineal gland inside the brain itself.

Central Nervous System Vascular Malformations: are the tangle of arteries and veins that develop during embryonic or fetal occurs in the brain or spinal cord

Obstructive hydrocephalus neurosurgery / Non-Obstructive hydrocephalus neurosurgery: are the accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain and sinus pressure on the surrounding tissues, including the brain and intracranial and swells in the head. In other circumstances hydrocephalus production originates above the cerebrospinal fluid, through a congenital malformation or from complications of injuries and infections.

Non-Obstructive hydrocephalus neurosurgery: is an increase in gathering of cerebrospinal fluid within the brain ventricles in children.

Ulnar Nerve Surgery: is chronic irritation of the nerve disorder that came with feeling on the inside of the hand pinky finger. Syndrome known as ulnar nerve entrapment in the adjacent nerve to the elbow joint (elbow) directly.

Pediatrics Neurosurgery: is the children or infant neurosurgery treatments.

Skull Base Neurosurgery: is one of the most complex and delicate area in the body of human that all the blood vessels and nerves enter and exit the skull

Scoliosis: is the condition when the spine is being curved as S shape and it is more common in teenagers and children.

Spine Surgeries: are generally all spine and spine cord surgeries. There are open surgeries or minimal surgeries.

Glioma: is the tumor starts from glial cells which are the most common cells in the brain. Glioma tumor are known as the most aggressive tumors.

Cerebral Aneurysms: is sac (balloon) of blood that create in brain because of weak point in vessel wall, over time the wall thins and ruptures that cause bleeding inside the brain.

Stereotaxic or Stereotactic Surgery: It is a surgery use three dimensional technique which are chemical, heat, and cold and has the ability to locate wound deep within tissue.

Radiosurgery / Gamma Knife: It is a radiation therapy that uses close to 200 tiny beam of radiation on the targeted tumor. Every beam has weak radiation effect on brain tissues but strong when combined on targeted tissue. It specialized for brain tumor and abnormality. It caused less damage to healthy tissues that surround the target, less invasive than regular brain surgeries, and has less side effects than other radiation therapies.

MIS Minimal Invasive Surgery: It is performed through tiny incisions instead of open surgery uses laparoscopy and thin tube to enter the body. It has less recovering time, less scarring, and less pain and after surgery complications.

Robot-Assisted Neurosurgery / Da Vinci: It is most advanced surgical technology. The integration between the high definition 3D vision system with wristed instrument in intuitive motion control.

Cyber Knife: It is the robotic radiation therapy for tumors with millimetric precision on target tissue. It has all body capability, painless, less time for recovery, and free frame treatment.

Image Guided Neurosurgery: It is the surgery that uses images to locate and operate accurately in brain. It is like the GPS system for the brain surgeries.

Truebeam STx: It is the image guided radiotherapy, with high dose on tissue radiation shorten the time under the therapy. It can apply on all the body as it required.
